Working together

Once we have had an exploratory phone call to discuss your issues and how it’s having a negative impact on your manufacturing business I like to come and meet you at your workshop to really understand your business and meet any key people who you would like to be involved.

We’ll take the time to discuss your business challenges and make sure we are addressing the root cause of the issue. This is an incredibly important stage of the process, so often people get this part wrong and waste time and money tackling the wrong issue.

We then agree on what 'good' would look like and what would need to be happening in your business to prove we have resolved the issue.

Once we know those two points we will build an action plan, which will include what is to be done, by who and by when.

While this process is happening we will discuss suitable KPIs that you can use to keep the business on track once these improvements kick in.

A big advantage to the site visit is that I can help you 'sell' the new ideas to your team to get them onside and empower them to make this happen.

Regular calls with you and supporting emails will help you drive these changes through to completion and I will teach you techniques which you can use again and again and teach your team.

By this stage, you will be well on your way to creating the business that you enjoy working in again.

MENTORING
Sharing knowledge, experience and skills to help another to develop and grow.

COACHING
Providing guidance with someone’s goals to help them reach their full potential.

  • My advantage is that I've actually done it, I'm a qualified manufacturing professional (green belt in Lean Six Sigma) and a certified coach and I used to be a mentor for Enterprise Nation.

  • Yes, that’s no problem, we can work together via Zoom.

  • No, although I am based in Dorset I worked nationwide and I am happy to travel to you.

I am also available to work internationally. If this is something that is of interest please get in touch.

  • I offer a free, no obligation, 30-minute consultation where we can discuss the issues you are facing and talk about how I can help and support you. After this initial discussion, I will be able to supply you with a clearer idea of the costs.

Every business is different with its own challenges and requirements. For this reason, it’s impossible for me to give a cost here, as it’s essential I tailor my services to suit the individual client needs, to ensure a successfull outcome.

  • "Richard joined Aspace at a very challenging time as part of the team trying to turnaround the business. The production unit was in a very poor state, customer service was terrible and morale low. Despite severe constraints and constant outside interference, he quickly got the team on board and made a real difference. Under his leadership, the unit went from being the worst to the best supplier to the business."
